Tom's abstract and figure-based sculptures feature a unique blend of materials, including clay, stainless steel, copper, brass, wood and
stone. Emphasizing lyrical movement, his fabricated mixed-media sculptures generally maintain a human scale (from 3' to 8' high) , which makes them equally adaptable for home, landscape, office or public settings.
Tom fashions each metal section by hand , cutting forms from metal plate, cold bending, then welding or bolting sections together; hand-formed clay or carved wood sections are then carefully integrated and connected to complete each unique piece. Coatings and other treatments are added for outdoor applications.
